Center for the Prevention of Health Disparities
Edward Waters College partnered with Mayo Clinic to procure a federal grant for the design and construction of a Center for the Prevention of Health Disparities. The Center functions as both a medical and educational center, and includes a reception area, multi-purpose meeting room, offices, exam rooms, a food preparation room and accessible restrooms.
The 2,500 SF building was designed with campus-standard materials at a residential scale to provide a welcoming atmosphere for the surrounding community. A future expansion will include additional exam rooms and a research laboratory.
Florida Clinical Laboratory
The design for Florida Clinical Lab’s Jacksonville location provided an expanded and updated lab area for new testing equipment. Also included in the 3,200 SF expansion/remodeling were computer stations, staff offices, employee breakroom, restrooms and remodeled patient services area. Construction phasing plans were critical in keeping the lab operational during construction.
